Western Feminisms often disregard the contributions from the ones of other regions, one important contribution being the typification Femicide as a crime in Latin America. Talking about Femicide means breaking cultural ideas about violence and taking a feminist perspective to create the needed structural changes to eradicate it. Germany is not free from gender violence, although its society and legislation have yet to acknowledge Femicide. We will share perspectives on this issue from different angles: historical, legal, migrant, and also present an artistic project from Latin America that exposes everyday gender violence in public spaces.
